GOAL
Extract real data from a CT scan and use that as a basis for the 3D model. Explore how to create a realistic bony texture.
THOUGHT PROCESS
Accuracy is key in science visualization. It is therefore important to use real data as often as possible. In this exercise, I use an open-sourced CT scan to make this 3D model. The extraction process isn't perfect, so by using Zbrush and atlases, I was able to carefully sculpt and re-shape the anatomy.
